San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy will make his first Super Bowl appearance on Sunday, when his team will face the Kansas City Chiefs at Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas. Despite his critical role in the National Football League's (NFL) championship game, Purdy's salary and net worth won't be among the highest on the field.

Last week, Toyota Motor Corp. (TM) named Purdy a national partner, along with retired New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning. Purdy will advance to appearing in Toyota Motors North America's national programming and content from California regional ads and social media, according to a statement released by Toyota. Toyota is also the official automotive partner of Super Bowl LVIII and the NFL.

A rising star in the NFL despite having the nickname "Mr. Irrelevant" for being picked last in the 2022 NFL draft, Purdy has led the 49ers to an NFC Championship win and on to the Super Bowl just two years into his NFL career. But being at this early stage in his career means his salary has some catching up to do compared with other NFL quarterbacks. At the same time, the young player already has scored endorsements with major brands.

NFL Earnings

In 2022, Purdy signed a four-year $3,737,008 contract with the 49ers, with an average annual salary of $934,252. By comparison, the Chiefs' quarterback, two-time Super Bowl champion, Patrick Mahomes, has an average annual salary of $45 million.

Though he has proven his naysayers wrong, Purdy's starting contract in the NFL was comparatively low because he was the last pick of the 2022 NFL draft.

Despite making his Super Bowl debut Sunday, Purdy has had quite a remarkable career in the NFL so far.

He became the 49ers' starting quarterback after the team's former quarterbacks, Trey Lance and backup Jimmy Garoppolo suffered injuries in the 2022 season. The rookie QB beat NFL legend Tom Brady in his first pro career start. Purdy led the 49ers to the conference finals in the 2022 season against the Philadelphia Eagles, where an elbow injury took him out of the game. Recovered from his injury, Purdy returned this season and led his team all the way to the Super Bowl.

Brand Partnerships

Before the 2023 season, Purdy signed a deal with Toyota to be in regional TV and social media ads for Toyota dealers in Northern California, and has appeared in ads for the Toyota Tundra. Purdy's latest partnership with Toyota takes his deal with the company to a national level.

Purdy also has a partnership with Alaska Airlines, and has been featured in an ad for the airline. The 24-year-old quarterback also has partnered with the restaurant chain Buffalo Wild Wings. Purdy is also among the investors behind plant-based energy drink company, Yerbaé.
